Oleg Sushkov a first class honours graduate in computer science, is exploring ways to make robots recognise, use and interact with everyday objects.
“My research is focussed on creating a truly useful service robot… Engineering possible solutions in robotics and artificial intelligence demands a large amount of work to develop an algorithm from concept to a state where it can be tested and evaluated. The scholarship allows me to dedicate the necessary time to the project and try out many different approaches, finding the best one to solve the problem.”
